Grading Explained
Each student must keep a record of points earned in their Journal Notebook. The record includes assignment date, description,
points earned and total points possible. This is a very useful tool for both the parent/guardian and student. With proper
record keeping this tool allows the current grade to be calculated throughout the quarter. It also identifies
missed assignments and possible correction opportunities.
Remember, all grades are EARNED not given.
The Infinite Campus “Parent Portal”
is now available. Campus allows parents/guardians and students an opportunity to view the scores entered into the gradebook. You can find the link on the THHS school web site… http://www.isd381.k12.mn.us/THHS/Default.htm

Corrections
Every student has the opportunity to improve his
or her score and understanding of labs, quizzes, and tests by making “corrections.” Each student will receive examples of how to properly do corrections the first week of
school. By properly doing corrections a student may receive half of a point for each correction. Corrections must be completed within four
days from the time the score is received. Corrections are
mandatory for tests only.
